Sean Edward Colthard (October 19, 1975 - April 4, 2013) was a Canadian professional wrestler, better known by his ring names Afternoon Drinkin and Adrastos Dionysus. He mainly competed for Soul Wrestling Incorporated, Alpha Championship Wrestling, and Fallout, although he did make a few appearances in Kritical Wrestling Alliance and Alpha Championship Wrestling. Colthard was a former Fallout Tag Team Champion with his real-life cousin Ben Drinkin, and a two-time SWI World Tag Team Champion with Ben and Colossus Rhodes. Colthard was also known for his humorous segments as well as his association with the SWI 24.

Early life and careerEdit

Sean Colthard was born in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. He is the real-life cousin of Ben, Shorty, Non-stop, and Social Drinkin, and the brother of Fat Tony Drinkin. A long-time wrestling fan, Colthard followed in the footsteps of his cousins and began training in 2005.

Colthard joined the Kritical Wrestling Alliance later that year as Afternoon Drinkin, working as an enforcer for his cousin Ben (and at one point, Shorty, Social, and Non-stop) as he felt he did not have enough experience to compete in a match. Afternoon left the company after Ben lost a ladder match to XS3 at Capitol Karnage.

Soul Wrestling IncorporatedEdit

The Drinkin Boyz / Clan (2005 - 2011)Edit

Afternoon signed with SWI at the company's inception, although he only competed in a handful of matches as he wanted to gain more confidence and experience in the ring. On March 18, 2006, Afternoon competed in a Drinkin Clan battle royal for Ben's SWI North American Championship. Afternoon then began competing on a more regular basis, teaming with Ben to form the Drinkin Boyz with Selina Taylor as their manager. The Drinkin Boyz teamed with Fat Tony to defeat Shorty's Soldiers at Independence. The Drinkin Boyz then feuded with teams like The Ministry, C-Code & MC Bob, and Fallout rivals The Royles over the year. Afternoon showcased his infamous sense of humor on multiple occasions in backstage segments. The Drinkin Boyz teamed with XS3 to defeat the Riot Squad at Disasterpiece, then won a four corners tag match the following month at Unholy Confessions.

At Destiny Fulfilled, The Drinkin Boyz defeated Ken Williams and Jason Daniels to win the SWI World Tag Team Championship, more than a year after capturing their first tag team championship together. They lost the titles to Williams and Daniels at Challenging Adversity. Afternoon faced Ken Davids for the SWI World Championship at Renewal in a losing effort before returning to the tag team division with Ben. Afternoon was offered a spot on the SWI roster following SWI's 2009 return to the mainstream, but declined to stay on Fallout, which would ironically close a month later.

On June 5, 2010, Afternoon, along with Ben and Shorty, made their SWI return as heels, attacking Monty James after his match with Blackwolf. Afternoon debuted a gimmick where he demanded to be taken seriously, only to have something comical happen to him every time. The Drinkin Clan competed for the SWI World Tag Team Championship on the August 7 episode of Apocalypse, but lost to Team England. Shorty left the company in October of that year, and the Drinkin Boyz feuded with Bad Attitude Inc. After losing a match to Bad Attitude Inc. at Beginning Anew, Afternoon turned on Ben, saying he was tired of being held back by his cousin. Afternoon defeated Ben by countout at Challenging Adversity after delivering a Beer Bash from the apron to the guardrail on the outside, (kayfabe) ending his cousin's career.

The Monstourage, going solo, and The Drinkin Boyz (2011 - 2012)Edit

Afternoon began feuding with Worldwide Truth & Freedom, saying he had a secret weapon to bring them down. Afternoon revealed his weapon to be his ACW tag team partner Colossus Rhodes. The two teamed up to defeat Monty and Blackwolf at Rise of the Forces. Later that night, the two helped Hitman of the Gods defeat XS3 for the SWI World Championship, reforming their old ACW stable, the Monstourage with fellow Fallout alumnus Tonya Montana. The following month at Questions Unanswered, Afternoon (who had reverted to his Adrastos Dionysus ring name) and Colossus defeated The Stones to win the SWI World Tag Team Championship. The two defended the titles over the months against The Stones, Rainmaster and Frankie Starr, Bad Attitude Inc., and CK Miles and Thunder Train before losing them to The Ministry at Unholy Confessions. After The Ministry vacated the titles and Hitman was forced to leave SWI, the Monstourage split with Kayla and attempted to regain the titles, but lost to Bad Attitude Inc. The Monstourage then lost a Texas Deathmatch to The Stones at Kill or Be Killed.

During their quest to regain the titles, Adrastos began a "Love Quest" gimmick, similar to that of internet vlogger Christian Weston Chandler, in which his lack of a girlfriend would distract him from matches. On February 4, Colossus walked out on Adrastos during a tag match against Bad Attitude Inc., leaving him to be pinned. Colossus then returned to the ring and hit Adrastos with the Titan Breaker, ending the Monstourage and turning Adrastos face. Adrastos then returned two weeks later with his real life girlfriend Jessica Fantastica at his side. Adrastos defeated Colossus at Challenging Adversity. Their feud continued when they fought to a draw in a number one contender's match. This allowed Adrastos (and Colossus) to face CK Miles for the SWI World Championship at Rise of the Forces. Adrastos was pinned by CK following a Titan Breaker from Colossus. Adrastos then reformed the Drinkin Boyz with a returning Ben, claiming to have seen the error of his ways and effectively returning to his Afternoon Drinkin moniker. The Drinkin Boyz then teamed with Edgemaster to defeat Colossus, Jarod Barnes, and Benjamin Collier at Questions Unanswered, ending Afternoon's feud with Colossus.

The Drinkin Boyz then challenged for the SWI World Tag Team Championship at Independence, outlasting three other teams in the Tag Team Turmoil match before losing to The Stones. During the conclusion of the match, Mary Jane attacked Jessica with one of the title belts, giving her a (kayfabe) concussion and ending her SWI career. Afternoon swore revenge on The Stones and teamed with Ben and Selina to defeat The Stones and Mary Jane at Disasterpiece in a non-title hardcore match. The Drinkin Boyz then lost a title match to The Stones and The Brothers Grimm disgused as Los Opuestos. The Drinkin Boyz were set to have a tag title shot against The Brothers Grimm at Destiny Fulfilled until Afternoon's second heart attack forced his SWI tenure (and ultimately, his in-ring career) to come to an end.

Fallout and Alpha Championship WrestlingEdit

In June 2006, Afternoon joined Ben on Fallout as the Drinkin Boyz, once again managed by Selina. Afternoon was briefly featured in a storyline where he wanted a girlfriend, but the storyline was quietly dropped as the Drinkin Boyz made their way up the ranks. On December 11, the Drinkin Boyz won the Fallout Tag Team Championship from the Goodfellas. The two defended the titles several times over the next few weeks before losing the belts to the Royles on February 18, 2007.

Upon Fallout's return from hiatus, the Drinkin Boyz formed an alliance with Edgemaster so he could help them "get their mojo back". The Drinkin Boyz then turned heel by turning on Edgemaster. Afternoon then took time off to recover from his first heart attack. Upon returning, the Drinkin Boyz reunited with Edgemaster and Damage Inc. to form Team SWI. A couple months later, the Drinkin Boyz left the stable in disgust to how SWI's name was being tarnished, thus turning them face. Fallout ended a couple of weeks later. At Spring into Hell 2009, the Drinkin Boyz challenged for the ACW Tag Team Championship, but suffered a burial loss.

Days later, Afternoon sided with Hitman and Colossus to form The Monstourage. Hitman taught Afternoon the ways of the gods, and advised him to change his ring name to Adrastos Dionysus. At Omega Effect, Adrastos defeated Irie the Intimidator, allowing Hitman five minutes in the ring with his kidnappers. The Monstourage then left ACW shortly after. Ben and Afternoon reunited at the final ACW event Goodbye Game, teaming with XS3 to defeat Edgemaster and Damage Inc.

Personal lifeEdit

Colthard was in a relationship with former manager Jessica Fantastica from February 2012 to his death.

On September 30, 2008, Colthard suffered a mild heart attack, but was able to recover in time for his return to Fallout.

On December 12, 2012, Colthard suffered his second and much more serious heart attack while in his home in Calgary. Jessica discovered him on the floor and managed to call 911 in time. Colthard recovered in the hospital, but announced his departure from SWI and retirement a couple of days later. Ben Drinkin also left SWI to care for his cousin. Colthard's health and mental state slowly worsened from that point.

Colthard passed away in his sleep on the morning of April 4, 2013 at the age of 37. SWI issued the following statement:

"SWI is saddened to announce the passing of Sean Colthard, better known as Afternoon Drinkin or Adrastos Dionysus. Sean was not only a dominant tag team wrestler, but his personality and sense of humor was second to none both inside and out of the ring."

The April 6 episode of Apocalypse featured a video package and ten-bell salute for Colthard, while the following episode of Aftermath served as a one-hour tribute to his life and career.
