Tyler Scott Stevens (born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada on January 28, 1978) is a retired Canadian professional wrestler, best known by his ring name Hitman of the Gods. Known for his intimidating stature, Hitman has competed in Alpha Championship Wrestling, Fallout, and Soul Wrestling Incorporated, where he is a former SWI World Champion.

Early life and career[]

Tyler Stevens was born to Steven (1949 - 1994) and Frances (1952 - 2009) in Red Deer, Alberta. His younger sister Kayla is also a professional wrestler. Tyler was born with gigantism, and had to have surgery to correct the issue. He then graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a degree in psychology.

In 2003, Tyler debuted as Hitman of the Gods. He debuted in the Kritical Wrestling Alliance on April 30, 2005, aligning with XS3, Punished Fox, and Vash the Stampede to form the Gung Ho Guns. He was released two months later without ever wrestling a match.

Alpha Championship Wrestling[]

After his release from KWA, Hitman signed with Alpha Championship Wrestling. He debuted on August 4, 2005, losing to Cernunnos. He then challenged for the ACW Entertainment Championship, losing to Kudo Yasuda at Heatwave. On October 10, Hitman joined the Senatorial Stable. On the same night, he challenged Macho Man RDK for the ACW World Championship in a losing effort. At MachoMania, Hitman challenged BK London for the ACW International Championship in a Russian Chain match that ended in a draw. Hitman's last title shot came when he teamed with stablemate Santiago Rivera to challenge RDK and Alicia "Atomic" Kitsune for the ACW Tag Team Championship in a losing effort.

In January 2006, the Senatorial Stable turned heel and feuded with RDK, BK, AK, and Latino. Hitman scored a pinfall victory over AK on an episode of Warfare, following botched interfere from BK. This culminated in an elimination tag match at Ragnarok. Hitman pinned AK during the match, but was ultimately eliminated in the end by BK. After a small hiatus, Hitman returned and defeated Draco at Fallen Heroes in a Draco's Rules match to save his little sister Kayla, who was (kayfabe) kidnapped by Draco for a year prior. After suffering a knee injury, Hitman returned in August with Serenity Ramirez at his side. At Emperor of the Ring, Hitman pinned AK for the third time in a row. Hitman then left ACW the following month due to personal reasons.

On March 6, 2007, Hitman debuted on Fallout, confronting Colossus Rhodes. Fallout entered a hiatus that month before returning in December of that year, where Hitman and Colossus resumed their feud. At Fallen Heroes 2008, Hitman defeated Colossus to end their year-long rivalry. On July 25, it was reported that Hitman had passed away in his sleep. In reality, he was kidnapped and taken to Oslo, Norway to have memory-altering experiments tested on him. Hitman would escape and return to ACW in May 2009. After a brief feud with Thunder Train and Dan White, Hitman left ACW, frustrated with his position in the company. He and Kayla would make an appearance at ACW's final show, Goodbye Game.

Soul Wrestling Incorporated[]

SWI World Champion (2011)[]

On March 12, 2011, Hitman made his SWI debut in the All-Star Tournament, defeating Afternoon Drinkin in the first round and Rainmaster in the second round. At Rise of the Forces, Hitman defeated XS3 in the finals to capture the vacant SWI World Championship, his only championship in his career. The Monstourage interfered on his behalf, thus turning Hitman heel. Hitman successfully defended the title the following month at Questions Unanswered against Monty James, before losing the title to Monty at Renewal in a triple threat match involving XS3. The finish came when the guest referee Mr. Besser attacked Hitman after he sent his stablemates to interfere on his behalf. Hitman then defeated Besser at Independence, and viciously assaulted him after the match. Hitman then defeated Besser's son David at Disasterpiece, before finally receiving his rematch against Monty James for the SWI World Championship. At Unholy Confessions, Monty defeated Hitman in a Anything Goes Ironman match (5-3) to retain his title and force Hitman to leave the company. Hitman retired immediately after the event, citing nagging injuries and other health-related reasons.

Subsequent appearances[]

Hitman made his first appearance since retirement at the 2015 edition of Unholy Confessions, watching XS3's title defense against Blackwolf. Towards the end of the match, Hitman prevented Blackwolf from using the championship belt against XS3, costing him the match. Hitman then faced Blackwolf at Betrayal in a losing effort. In August 2017, Hitman returned to feud with the Besser Brothers, as a part of their "Giant Killers" gimmick. Hitman faced the Bessers in a Handicap match on September 23 in a losing effort. He made one final appearance at RewindMania teaming with Colossus, Kayla, and Tonya Montana as the Monstourage in a losing effort against Ben Drinkin, Waylon Kenney, Kelsey Ayami, and Selina Taylor.

Personal life[]

Tyler was previously in a relationship with Serenity Ramirez from 2006 to 2009. He married Alexandra Kostopolous on March 3, 2013 after dating her for almost four years. The couple welcomed twins, Steven and Robin, on February 17, 2014. The couple filed for divorce in early 2020, citing irreconcilable differences.
